!!! THE SHAWS !!!

It is with great reluctance that the Moncton Regional Learning Council is loosening its grip on the lives of Pauline and Arnie Shaw. This wonderful couple have given of their time, skills, and resources in the cause of Literacy for many, many years. Pauline has been the unpaid office manager who is always there with all the answers and it seems as if Arnie has been training Tutors since Frank C. Laubach started school.

Arnie has always been a physically active person and, unfortunately, he has developed a health problem which will limit his ability to be so active. It is necessary for him to curtail his commitments, but he is determined to contribute to MRLC to the extent that he is able. Pauline is doing exactly what all of us would want her to do and is giving herself to Arnie's support. She has asked to be replaced as the office Manager. A daunting task, but we are seeking volunteers.

It is an understatement to say that Pauline and Arnie have the love and support of every member of this Council. We thank them very, very sincerely.
