Become a Volunteer Tutor

The MRLC values the unique contributions volunteers make in helping others enhance their quality of life through the generous offering of their skills, time and compassion.

We are the only agency in the region that provides free, confidential volunteer one-to-one individualized literacy and learning opportunities.

What we typically do as volunteers is provide free and confidential one-to-one tutoring services to older youth and adults of all ages who seek help in improving their numeracy and literacy levels primarily for new or improved employment and educational opportunities.

We offer specialized tutor training to volunteers recruited from our regional community to provide these services. The volunteer tutors and learners meet regularly at locations mutually convenient for each pair.
